NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

The Lake Shore Hospital Authority will meet in a Special Meeting on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. The meeting will be held at the Lake Shore Hospital Authority located at 259 NE Franklin Street, Suite 102, Lake City, FL 32055. The purpose of the special meeting is to:

Discuss and approve the final “Agreement for the Purchase and Sale of Real Property” to
Meridian Behavioral Healthcare for the former Lake Shore Hospital

The meeting will begin at 5:15 pm.

Pursuant to 286.0105, Florida Statutes, the Authority hereby advises the public if a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Authority with respect to any matter considered at its meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.

Welcome to the LSHA

The Lake Shore Hospital Authority (LSHA) oversees maintenance and operation of Shands Lake Shore Regional Medical Center in Lake City Florida. It has responsibility for ensuring that the hospital provides medical care options to the residents of this region and providing assistance to the indigent. The LSHA serves a region with a growing population and a dynamic economy. Thus, the LSHA must be proactive in anticipating and preparing for the changing medical needs of this region. There is the recognition that the hospital must grow and develop in order to meet the medical needs of the community.

The LSHA also acknowledges and embraces the role it plays in the betterment of the community. It is through thoughtful, well-conceived actions that the Lake Shore Hospital Authority will fulfill its mission and achieve its vision. These steps are articulated in a strategic plan for hospital maintenance, development and growth.
